Junior Analyst

Eligibility Criteria
A Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition (or)
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology in Dairy /Oil or Veterinary Sciences from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
Selection Process
The selection process comprises a written examination or computer-based test (CBT). There is no oral test for this position.
Scheme of Examination
Tamil Language Eligibility Test (10th Standard Level) consists of 50 objective-type questions, carries a maximum of 50 marks, and has a duration of 1 hour. The minimum qualifying marks are 30 for SC/SCA/ST candidates and 35 for others.
Computer Based Test/ Written examination in Optical Mark Reader (OMR) – sheet; Objective type single paper Exam for Junior Analyst (Main Examination) consists of 100 objective-type questions, carries a maximum of 100 marks, and has a duration of 2 hours.
The question paper for Main Examination will be set in both Tamil and English and will contain 100 objective type questions. There will be no negative mark for the wrong answer.
Salary
The selected candidates for the Junior Analyst position are placed at Pay Level 16, with a salary ranging from ₹36,400 to ₹1,15,700
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and standards.
- Familiarity with regulations like FSSAI, HACCP, and ISO 22000.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for data analysis.
Application Process
The application window was open from March 16, 2022, to April 5, 2022. Candidates were required to apply online through the official TN MRB website. The application fee was ₹500 for SC/SCA/ST/DAP (PH) candidates and ₹1000 for others.
