Paramedical Course College Fees 2023

Government Paramedical Colleges – Course Fees

The Tuition Fee for All Courses in all Government Colleges (per Annum) Rs. 3,000/-

Candidates who have been selected under person with benchmark disability category are exempted from paying the Tuition Fee and Special Fee.

Self Financing Paramedical Colleges – Course Fees

The above fee does not include Hostel, Transport, Mess charges etc.,

NOTE:

If any modification in the Fee for 2023-2024 will be fixed by the Fee Fixation Committee and will be informed during / after Counseling. Detailed information regarding Scholarship, Fee Concession, Hostel Facilities, etc. can be obtained from the Head of the Government Institution in which the candidate joins.

Students of SC /SCA/ ST community, whose Parents / Guardian’s annual income is less than Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand Only ) and for Scheduled Caste converted Christian community students, whose parents/ guardians annual income is less than Rs.2,00,000/- ( Rupees Two Lakhs Only) are exempted from payment of all compulsory, non- refundable fees ( Enrollment/ Registration, Tuition, Games, Union, Library, Magazine, Medical Examination and such other fee compulsorily payable by the scholar to the Institution or University / Board) and also exempted from all compulsory Non refundable fee fixed by the Fee Committee. The fee, so exempted shall be claimed by the respective Institutions under the Scholarship Programme of the Government of India.

DISCONTINUATION FEE:-

The students who are allotted and joined in any of the seats in Govt. Medical Colleges and discontinue the Paramedical Degree courses after the cut-off date should pay the Discontinuation Fee of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rs. One Lakh only) by means of Demand Draft in favor of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10” payable at Chennai.

TN Paramedical 2023 -Seats in Govt & Self Financing Colleges

CATEGORIES OF SEATS:

(i) Government Colleges
(ii) GOVT. QUOTA SEATS in Self-Financing Colleges

65% of total seats in Non-Minority Institution and 50% of total seats in Minority Institution, subject to the Policy of the State Government and the court orders in this regard for each Para Medical Course in Self Financing institutions surrendered to Government Quota will be filled as per merit following the rule of reservation in force. The actual number of seats offered by the Self – Financing Institutions will be displayed at the time of Counselling.

Special Categories

1. Seats earmarked for the Special Categories will be allotted following the Horizontal Reservation. The Seats will be allotted as per merit order in the concerned special category and those seats will be deducted in the concerned compartment (OC /BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST) and the remaining seats will be allotted to the General Category.
2. If adequate number of eligible candidates are not available under Special Category the earmarked seats will be reverted back to general category.
3. The other eligibility conditions for admission will be applicable in the case of General Category

Seats Reserved for Children of Ex-Servicemen (Govt. College only)

SEATS RESERVED FOR PERSON WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITY: –

5% of the total number of seats available in Government Colleges are reserved for the Differently Abled candidates. The other conditions for admission into Paramedical courses will be applicable as in the case of the general category.

Paramedical Online Counselling Procedure 2023

ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM):-

(1) Online Counselling Schedule will be available only on the website. Candidates should lock their choices of Colleges and Courses as per the schedule.

Admission to Paramedical Degree courses, shall be made by counselling on the basis of merit applying the rule of reservation.

(2) Counselling for the Special Categories (Ex-Service men & Persons with Disability) will be done before the General Category. There will be no reallotment /change of college for special category.

(3) The processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) should be paid through online mode via bank payment portal to participate in the online counselling.

(4) A candidate who have not registered and have not locked the choices in the 1st round of online counselling will not be permitted to the subsequent rounds of online counselling.

(5) At the time of choice filling, candidates can choose the Course and College of their own choices on merit basis and the same will be allotted as per the availability of seats.

REPORTING:-

(1) The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the allotted Medical College/Institution in person before the date and time specified in the allotment order along with the Originals and copies of the Certificates.

(2) Candidates who have downloaded the provisional allotment order and have not joined the course will not be eligible to attend the subsequent rounds of online counselling.

(3) The candidate who have joined in the course during 1st phase of counseling only eligible to attend the subsequent phases of counselling for re-allotment of Colleges. The date of such counselling will be published in the websites and also will be informed to the Dean/The Principal of respective Colleges. No individual intimation will be sent to the candidates.

(4) The movement of candidate from one category to another category (from selffinancing to Government Colleges) and from one Government college to another Government college will be based on the merit following the rule of reservation. The date of such online counselling will be published in the websites and also will be informed to the Dean/The Principal of respective Colleges.

(5) The vacancies arising after the first phase of counseling and also to the new colleges if any added will be filled up from the waiting list through online counseling, (if necessary).

(6) No Re-allottment for any course within Self-financing colleges.

(7) Individual request for transfer of course and college will not be entertained.

(8) Mutual transfer will not be entertained.

METHOD OF SELECTION & ADMISSION

a) The selection will be made based on merit and applying the rule of reservation by the Government of Tamil Nadu as follows.

1.  Within 30% reservation for BC, 3.5% reservation will be provided for BC Muslims.
2. 16% of seats out of 18% quota earmarked to SC shall be allotted to the Arunthathiyar community
3. BC, BCM, MBC/DNC, SC, SCA & ST candidates are eligible for selection under open competition as per merit in addition to the reservation made for them.

b) Any remaining unfilled seats for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to SCA community shall be filled by candidates belonging to SC community other than Arunthathiyar as per merit and vice versa.(GO (Ms) 55 P & AR Department, Dated:08.04.2010)

c) Any remaining reserved seats in ST Quota for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to ST community shall be allotted to candidates belonging to SC Community as per merit. (GO (Ms) No.77 Health & Family Welfare Department (MCA1) Dated 24.02.2011)

d) Any remaining unfilled seats in BCM Community for want of adequate number of eligible candidates after exhausting the merit list shall be filled up on merit basis by candidates belonging to BC community without exceeding the quota for BC community as a whole (G.O.Ms.No.30/ H&FW Dept(MCA1) Dated 18.01.2012)

e) Even after filling up of the required seats reserved for Arunthathiyars on preferential basis, if more number of qualified Arunthathiyars are available, such excess number of candidates of Arunthathiyars shall be entitled to compete with the Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars in the inter-se merit among them (As per G.O.Ms.No.65, P & AR (K) Department, Dated:27.07.2009

f) For B.Sc(Nursing) course, the ratio of seats between men and women shall be 1:9 respectively . The Third Gender candidates who identify themselves as female by self declaration supported by the certificate (ID Card) issued by the Tamil Nadu Third Gender Welfare Board (TNGWB) are also elgible to get allotment as female candidates.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING AND SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION:- 

(a) The candidate should log on in any one of the following official websites : www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in /www.tnmedicalselection.org

1. The fees for online application process is Rs. 500/- and should be paid via bank portal.
2. Candidates should fill all the mandatory fields in online application form and upload the required certificates.
3. Request for change in any particulars in the online application shall not be entertained under any circumstances after online submission.
4. Candidates are advised to submit only one online application form. If a candidate submits more than one online application form, only one will be accepted.
5. Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application are correct during the online submission of application form.

Documents to be Submitted along with Online Application Form

Candidates are instructed to upload the following certificates while filling up the online application in the required places.

1. Class X Mark Sheet
2. The Mark sheet(s) of H.S.C. examination/any other Equivalent examination duly endorsed by the competent authority in both sides have to be uploaded.
3. Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or Equivalent courses.
4. Nativity certificate
5. Community Certificate
6. Candidates seeking Admission against Special Category seats should obtain necessary certificates from the appropriate authorities in the prescribed form and upload them. (Please see format in the (Annexure-I & Annexure-II (A) & (B)
7. Certificate for proof of study from 6TH standard to 12TH standard (candidate who studied in Tamil Nadu)
8. First graduate Certificate (claiming to be the first graduate in their family if applicable).
9. Parent Community Certificate Obtained from Revenue authority of Government of Tamil Nadu

NOTE

1. The candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe should upload their Community Certificate obtained from the Competent Authority not below the rank of Revenue Divisional Officer. If candidate claims ST status in the online application without uploading their community certificate then they will be treated as open category candidate.
2. Uploading / Producing a false community, Nativity or any other certificate if detected later at any point of time during the course of study will result in cancellation of their allotment and expulsion of the candidate from the course and also criminal proceedings will be initiated against the candidate as well as the parents as per provision of law.
3. As number of bogus community certificates are being encountered off late and in order to curb such practices, the authentication of the above certificate has to be verified and confirmed by the concerned authority, before the individual completes 1st year. The concerned candidate and parents should take necessary steps to that effect. Unless proof of authenticity of community certificate is received, the candidate will not be allowed to continue the 2nd year.
4. Candidates should upload all the necessary certificates in the prescribed format in online application.
5. Community Certificates obtained from other States will not be considered and such candidates will be treated as open category.

Paramedical Counselling 2023 – Merit List

The Selection Committee will publish the merit list in the following website:

The Candidates will be permitted to participate the online counseling as per their merit and they may exercise their option as per their eligibility norms.

The candidate should be a citizen of India.

NATIVITY

1. Candidates should be Native of Tamil Nadu
2. The candidates, who claim their Nativity as Tamil Nadu should submit their nativity certificate issued by the competent Revenue authority of Government of Tamil Nadu.
3. Candidates belonging to other States cannot claim nativity of Tamil Nadu.
4. Permanent Residence Certificate in lieu of Nativity Certificate will not be accepted.
5. Nativity Certificate submitted with application alone will be accepted and sending the Nativity Certificate separately will not be entertained.
6. Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu and who have studied 6TH standard to 12TH standard in schools of Tamil Nadu should also produce Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the competent authority. The Community Certificate of either one of the parent obtained from the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu should be enclosed to claim Communal Reservation. If candidates do not submit the above mentioned certificates and even if he/she had studied Standard 6th to 12th std completely in Tamil Nadu, the candidate will be considered under Open Category only.
7. Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu, but studied from 6th Standard to 12th standard either partly or completely in one or more states should upload their Nativity Certificate issued by the competent revenue authority of Tamil Nadu. If the candidate claims communal reservation, they should upload candidate’s community certificate issued by the competent revenue authority of Tamil Nadu and should upload the community certificate of either one of the parent or guardian obtained from the competent Revenue Authority of Tamil Nadu for claim Communal Reservation. If the candidates do not submit the above mentioned certificate, then the candidate’s application will be summarily rejected.
8. Other State candidates who are not native of Tamil Nadu but Studied 6th standard to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be considered under Open Category (OC) candidate and have to produce their Bonafide Certificate from school in which he/she studied from std 6th to 12thstd
9. Community Certificate of the candidates or either one of his/her parents obtained from other states will not consider for communal reservation.

AGE LIMIT

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2021. (Those who were born few days later can also be included, i.e. maximum 15 days).

a) For All Courses (Except B.Sc Nursing)

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023

b) B.Sc Nursing

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023.

• Candidates belonging to OC / BC / BCM / MBC/DNC should not have completed 30 years as on 31st December 2023.
• For SC / SCA / ST candidates should not have completed 35 years as on 31st December 2023.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying Examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Equivalent Board in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.

B.Pharm, BASLP & B.Optom

For All Courses (Except B.Pharm, BASLP & B.Optom)

Minimum Eligibility Marks

NOTE

• Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations other than Tamil Nadu State Board/CBSE with same group of subjects mentioned above should produce the Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-32. before joining the course.
• In the case of candidates who have furnished the mark sheets of the qualifying examination, only in GRADES, the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken into consideration while determining the marks in the select Science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology.
• Candidates who have mark sheets with GRADES should obtain a certified statement of marks from the examination authority and upload the statement of marks for indicating the actual marks secured.
• Normalization method will be adopted for calculating the minimum eligibility mark for the candidates who have passed any other equivalent examination.

VOCATIONAL STREAM / PRIVATE CANDIDATES

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Course in vocational stream are not eligible to apply to Paramedical Degree Courses.
