The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the Paramedical Recruitment 2024 with 1,376 vacancies across various paramedical posts. The application process started on 17th August 2024 and will continue until 16th September 2024. Interested candidates need to apply online through the official RRB websites. Educational Qualification
NURSING SUPERINTENDENT – Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife having passed 3 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a school of Nursing or other institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (OR) B.Sc Nursing.
CARDIAC TECHNICIAN – Higher Secondary (10+2) in Science and certificate course or Diploma in Cardiology Lab Investigations consisting of ECG, Holter and TMT. Candidate trained in Echocardiography is preferable
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST – Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology / Social Psychology from a recognized University.
ECG TECHNICIAN – 10+2 / Graduation in Science having Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology / Cardiology / Cardiology Technician / Cardiology Techniques of a reputed institution.
FIELD WORKER – 12th (10+2 stage) in Science with Biology or Chemistry
HEALTH and MALARIA INSPECTOR GRADE III – B.Sc. having studied Chemistry as Main / Optional subject in any branch of Chemistry while undertaking the course. Plus
(a) One year Diploma of Health / Sanitary Inspector (OR)
(b) One year National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Health Sanitary Inspector awarded by National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, New Delhi.
LABORATORY ASSISTANT GRADE II – 12th (10+2 stage) in Science plus
(a) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) (OR)
(b) Certificate Course in Medical Lab. Technology (1 year course)
PERFUSIONIST – B.Sc with Diploma in Perfusion Technology (OR)
B.Sc and Three years experience in Cardio Pulmonary Pump Technician in Reputed Recognised Hospital.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST GRADE II – (i) Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University and
(ii) Two years practical experience in Physiotherapy from the Government / Private Hospital with atleast one hundred beds.
RADIOGRAPHER X-RAY TECHNICIAN – 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized Insitute.
Science graduates with Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course) shall be preferred.
PHARMACIST (ENTRY GRADE) – 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized institution and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (OR)
Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized University or equivalent and Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act,1948.
DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN – B.Sc., plus (a) Diploma in Haemodialysis (OR)
(b) two years satisfactory in-house Training / Experience in Haemodialysis work in a reputed institution (proof to be attached).
OPTOMETRIST – B.Sc in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (the course should be of 3 to 4 years duration). The candidate should have Registration with the concerned Council / Licensing body.
LABORATORY SUPERINTENDENT – B.Sc with Bio-Chemistry / Micro Biology / Life science / B.Sc with Chemistry and Biology as main or as optional / subsidiary subjects or eqivalent plus Diploma in Medical Lab technology (DMLT) or equivalent (OR)
B.Sc in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from a recognized institution.
DENTAL HYGIENIST – (a) Degree in Science (Biology) from a recognized university or equivalent AND
(b) Diploma / Certificate Course (2 years) in Dental Hygiene from an institute recognized by Dental Council of India AND
(c) Registered with Dental Council of India as Dental Hygienist AND
(d) Two years experience as Dental Hygienist.
DIETICIAN (Level 7) – B Sc (Science Graduate) with Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics (one year course) from a recognized institution plus 3 months internship training in a hospital. (OR)
B.Sc Home Science + M.Sc Home Science (Food and Nutrition) from a recognised institution.
CATH LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – B.Sc and Diploma from a reputed Cardiac Lab in Cardiac Professional Cath Lab work or two years house training / experience in a reputed Cardiac Cath LABORATORY.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – 10+2 with Science and Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
AUDIOLOGIST AND SPEECH THERAPIST – Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognized University and must be registered with Rehabilitation Council of lndia (RCl).
SPEECH THERAPIST – (i) B.Sc and Diploma in Audio and Speech Therapy
(ii) 2 years experience in the related field.

Application Fee
- For all candidates [ Except SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) ] – Rs 500/-

Refund Of Examination Fee (for those attending CBT):
All candidates must clearly mention the bank details Account Number and IFSC Code) (Name of Bank, Name of Account Holder, for receiving the refundable portion of their examination fee (i.e. Rs. 400/- or Rs. 250/- as applicable minus bank charges) in their application form.
Selection Process
Shortlisting of candidates for Document Verification and empanelment will be made strictly on merit based on the performance of the candidate in the CBT subject to securing minimum qualifying marks prescribed for their communities.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): The primary mode of selection, covering subjects like General Awareness, General Science, and relevant technical subjects.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the CBT are called for document verification. Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT Examination candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for document verification in the main list = 1:1= No Standby list.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass a medical fitness test.
Exam Pattern
The Question paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions
The questions will be of objective type with multiple choice and are likely to include questions pertaining to Professional ability (relevant technical subjects), General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Science.

There shall be negative marking in CBT (Computer Based Test/Examination) and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
How to Apply for RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2024
- Candidates must read all the information and instructions carefully before filling the ONLINE application to prevent mistakes.
- Candidates must first ‘Create an account’ for this CEN through the link given in the official RRB websites
- They must have an active personal mobile number and a valid email ID for receiving OTPs for account creation. No change in details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and email ID) will be permitted later.
- Each candidate is allowed to apply to only one RRB and only one common ONLINE application should be submitted by a candidate for any or all of the notified posts, in the order of preference in that posts, for which the candidate is eligible and interested to apply.
Documents required for Online Application
- Recent, clear colour passport size photograph (against a plain white background) of the candidate in JPEG image (size 30to 70KB)- without wearing dark glasses and/or cap.
- Scanned JPEG image of candidate’s signature in running handwriting (size 30 to 70KB)
- SC /ST Certificate (only for candidates requesting free pass for train travel) in pdf format (upto 500KB).
