Pharm.D Round 2 Counselling Dates 2024 – The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai has released the online counselling schedule for Pharm.D (6 Years) Course & Pharm.D (Post Baccularate 3 Years course) 2024 -2025 Session.
The registration for Pharm.D online counselling started on November 19. The last date to apply online for both course is November 21.
Pharm.D – Doctor of Pharmacy
A Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a professional doctorate in pharmacy, which is a vital degree for those pursuing a career as a pharmacist. This degree equips individuals with the knowledge and skills required to understand medication therapy, counsel patients, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying Examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Equivalent Board in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.
a) A pass in 10, +2 examination with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.
Note : Candidates who have completed D.Pharm Courses can apply for Pharm.D, however their admission will be considered based on their marks in the H.Sc exam and the duration for them in Pharm.D course will be six years.
Pharm D. (POST BACCALAUREATE) COURSE:-(Graduate Entry Level) A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India
Course Duration
Pharm D: The duration of the course shall be six academic years ( 5 years of study and one year of intership or residency)
Pharm D. (Post Baccalaureate):- This is a postgraduate entry course to the 4th Year of the Pharm D. Course and the student should undergo the Pharm D. Post Baccalaureate programme for three academic years (fourth, fifth and Sixth Years of the Pharm D. Programme) (Two Years of academic study and one year of intership or residency)
Round 2 Online Counselling Schedule 2024
- Registration/ Payment for online counselling start from November 19, 2024, at 06:00 PM to November 21, 2024, at 5:00 PM
- Choice Filling & Locking started on November 19, 2024, at 06:00 PM
- The deadline for choice filling and locking is November 21, 2024, at 5:00 PM
- The results of Round 2 Online Counselling released on November 22, 2024.
- Download of Provisional Allotment Order for Round 2 Counselling will be from November 22, 2024.
The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution On or Before 27-11-2024 upto 05.00 p.m.

TN DME Pharm.D Round 2 Counselling 2024 – Important Instructions to Apply
Here are some important guidelines while participating in the round 2 online counselling process for TN Pharm.D Admission 2024
- All candidates can register for TN DME Pharm.D Round 2 counselling up to the last date, November 21 only. No fresh application will be accepted for round 2 counselling after the last date.
- The candidates who have already registered for first phase of online counseling and paid Rs. 500/- as Registration fee need not pay again.
- Vacancy position for the Courses will be available on the official website https://tnmedicalselection.net/
- The choice-filling window will open for all registered candidates from the first day of round 2 counselling itself.
- Candidates should take care of choice filling.
- Option once given during the online counseling cannot be changed later. Request for change of Branch / College, from one to another is not permitted after November 21 for any course.
- A candidate who has taken a seat and not joined the course, he / she is not eligible to the subsequent rounds of online counseling.
- Candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Colleges on or before the date and time stipulated as mentioned in the allotment order.
