- General category: Maximum age of 32 years.
- SC/ST/MBC/BC/Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age of 59 years.
- Differently Abled candidates: Maximum age of 42 years.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
Selection process
The selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or written examination.
Exam Pattern – Scheme of examination
Tamil Eligibility Test (10th Standard) level will be conducted for 50 Marks with 1 hour duration.
Computer Based Examination (CBT) / Written Examination in Optical Mark Reader (OMR) – Sheet Objective Type Single Paper Exam for Physiotherapist Grade-II will be conducted for 100 Marks with 2 hour duration
Important Note –
- The question paper in the subject “Degree in Physiotherapy” will be set in English only and will contain 100 objective type questions.
- There will be no negative mark for the wrong answer.
- The Questions will be in the standard of Under Graduate Level
Exam Centers – will be allocated in Chennai , Madurai, Tirunelveli, Trichy and Coimbatore.

- 500 for SC/SCA/ST/Differently Abled candidates.
- ₹1,000 for others.
How to Apply Online for TN MRB Direct Recruitment for Physiotherapist Posts 2024
Interested candidates are first required to log on to the Medical Services Recruitment Board’s website www.mrb.tn.gov.in and read the detailed notification carefully
Candidates should apply only through online in the TN MRB Website www.mrb.tn.gov.in.
Before applying, the candidates should keep a scanned image of their colour photograph and scanned image of their signature
A valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for registration and email ID and the given mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results. MRB will send intimation regarding certificate verification, other Memos etc., only through the registered e-mail ID.
- On the Home Page, click “Online Registration” to open up the On-Line Application Form
- Select the name of the post of Physiotherapist Grade – II
- All the required particulars be entered without skipping any field.
- Mobile number and e-mail ID are mandatory. You are also requested to provide alternate secondary Mobile No., Landline number as well. All communication from MRB will be sent to the registered primary mobile number by SMS and to the registered e-mail ID only and no other means.
- Candidates are required to upload their scanned copy of colour photograph and, scanned copy of signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature. An online application is incomplete without the Photograph and Signature upload.
- Payment of fee can be done through on-line mode
- For payment of fees through the online payment gateway, i.e. Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit card and Mobile wallet Payment, an additional page of the application form will be displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details to remit payment.
- After submitting your payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server, DO NOT press Back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charge.
- If the online transaction has been successfully completed a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should note the same for future reference.
- After submitting the application, candidates can save/ print their application in PDF format.
The candidates need to apply only in online mode. They shall not send copies of certificates / printed application to MRB. In the online application, candidates need to furnish the details such as: Community Certificate number; Issuing Authority; Date of issue, in support of the claims made with regard to community failing which the application will not be considered.
Candidates need to verify their eligibility for the post before submitting their online application. If a candidate furnished wrong information, action will be taken by MRB to debar such candidate from the future exams/recruitment, apart from other legal actions.
TN MRB Physiotherapist Exam 2024 – Admit cards
- The Admit Cards for eligible candidates will be made available in the Medical Services Recruitment Board‟s official Website www.mrb.tn.gov.in for download.
- No Admit Card will be sent by post.
- Intimation regarding the availability of Admit Card for download will be sent to the registered email ID / SMS to the registered primary mobile number.
