Paramedical Counselling

The Tamil Nadu Paramedical Counselling for 2024 is conducted in multiple rounds to allocate seats for various paramedical courses like Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, and more.

Round 1:

For top-ranked candidates.
Includes registration, choice filling, and allotment.
Candidates who receive an allotment must join their assigned colleges before the deadline.
Non-reporting candidates lose eligibility for subsequent rounds.

Round 2:

Conducted for candidates who:
Did not receive a seat in Round 1.
Are eligible based on cutoff scores but had lower ranks.
Want to upgrade or modify their options.
Includes fresh choice filling, locking, and allotment.
Similar procedures and deadlines apply for reporting.

Mop-Up Round:

Conducted if seats remain vacant after Round 2.
Often involves spot admissions or simplified procedures.
Eligibility may depend on the number of vacant seats, and options for new registrations may be limited.

Stray Vacancy Round:

For leftover seats after the Mop-Up Round.
Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, often directly through respective institutions.

Counselling Process:

Registration: Candidates register on the official website (tnmedicalselection.net).
Choice Filling: Applicants select their preferred courses and colleges in order of priority.
Allotment: Based on rank, category, and availability.
Reporting: Joining the allotted institution with required documents within the stipulated time.

Round 2 Online Counselling Schedule 2024

Registration/ Payment for online counselling start from October 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM to October 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM
Choice Filling & Locking started on October 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM
The deadline for choice filling and locking is October 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM
The results of Round 2 Online Counselling released on October 21, 2024.
Download of Provisional Allotment Order for Round 2 Counselling will be from October 21, 2024.

The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution On or Before 24-10-2024 upto 05.00 p.m.

Important Instructions for Students attending TN Paramedical Online Counselling 2024

Students who are participating the online counselling for Paramedical Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs.250/- through online as a processing fee, via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
Students should be carefull while choice filling.
Seat Vacancy Positions for the Paramedical Degree Courses will be available on the official website https://tnmedicalselection.net/
The procedures for the online counselling will be published in the official website https://tnmedicalselection.net/
Once the student locks his/her choice during the online counselling, it cannot be changed later. Request for change of Branch / College, from one to another is not permitted after an option has been exercised.
A student who has taken a seat and not joined the course, he / she is not eligible to the subsequent rounds of online counselling.
The student selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College. He / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts, misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
The allotted students should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time
The students should produce their Original Certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates to the concerned Colleges.
